Music Rock's Celebration

As part of our Music Rocks celebration Room 3 performed "I just can't wait to be King", as well as the Polyfest songs.  We made our own shakers by using a lightbulb and a tube as the base and then paper mache over the top.  Click on the link below to view our video.

Glue Poems

As part of our inquiry unit this term on music we have been making our own shakers using paper mâché. Using so much glue on our hands was a new experience for many, some liked the feeling, some didn't. While Mrs Pearson was away this week we wrote poems about glue with Mrs Taylor. We then made a Smilebox presentation of it. Please click on the link below to view

Kids Restore the Kepler - Stoats

This week the pest is the STOAT!!
Did you know it was introduced into New Zealand to control the rabbit problem, but now it is a major problem to our native birds, lizards and insects.

We had Mrs Ball bring a Ferret and Stoat into school for a day.  Check out the You Tube clip below:Click on this text to view

Room 3 also had Shinji Kameyama who does trapping for DOC come in and share his knowledge.
