Our Wet Week!
It has been raining in Te Anau for ten days in a row!
We were getting tired of the rain.... and being inside before school, morning tea time and at lunch time.
As we have been learning about being 'young innovators', Mrs Pearson brought along her big box of lego for us to build with.
You will see are busy constructing all sorts of interesting and unique creations.
(Can you spy any new slippers?)
We will be writing about what we built next week.
Here are some of our creations so far:

New Slippers
On Thursday Nana Irene and Nell visited to drop off a pair of new slippers for each of us ... twenty two pairs of lovely, warm, hand knitted slippers.
How lucky are we?
We decided to write thank you cards to both of these clever ladies.
Dylan and James drew a picture of each of them in a star, because that's what we think they are: SUPER STARS!!
This is what we wrote to Nana Irene and Nell:

Libby as a beautiful butterfly |
Melody as a Muscle man (new) |
Bailey dressing up as a Nijia Turtle (new) |
One of our challenges this week was to make a hat just using newspaper. Here is Lily with hers. |
