Making a quilt - ing spelling chunk
The spelling chunk in Room 3 this week has been 'ing'.
Our poem this was week was called 'Night-time is for Dreaming'.
Jill Eggleton, the Author of this poem has used many words with the 'ing' spelling chunk.
This morning after re-reading this poem, we talked about what we dream about.
We drew pictures of our dreams in hexagon shapes.
Brooke dreams about mermaids swimming in the sea.
Ben dreams about living in a cruise ship on the sea.
Jazz dreams about fairies watching the foxes in castles.
Chase dreams about being an All Black rugby player.
We cut out our hexagon shapes carefully and then fitted them together to make a 'Dream quilt'.
What do you like to dream about?

Reading with our 'Furry Friends' in Room 3
This term in Room 3 we are trying to read to ourselves for longer at Reading Time.
To help us, we have been joined by some 'Furry Friends'.
When it is time to read to ourselves, we choose a 'Furry Friend' to read to.
We choose a different 'Furry Friend' every day.
To help us, we have been joined by some 'Furry Friends'.
When it is time to read to ourselves, we choose a 'Furry Friend' to read to.
We choose a different 'Furry Friend' every day.
Sometimes we take our 'Furry Friend' with us to read to our buddy.
Do you have a 'Furry Friend' that you like to read to?
