Sunshine Online

During our Shared Book time we have been exploring a fantastic website called Sunshine Online together.
This website has many wonderful literacy activities that the children can work on independently, as a way of gaining extra reading practice.

Look inside your child's homework book (alongside their week 5 spelling words) to find out more about using this site at home.

Room 3 Assembly News

Last Friday was our first School Assembly.
The Assembly team asked each class to send them three things for assembly: a photo of the class and something they were proud of, and a 'blurb' about the children.
This is what we shared with the team.

Hello from Room 3

We have been very busy in our class, and we are already feeling very proud of the new things we have learnt to do.

We think being proud makes you feel happy.

Look at what we are proud of so far…

- Getting faster at our Mad Maths Minute work.

- Writing our numbers around the right way.

- Learning to read new words.

- Making our letters sit on the line at handwriting.

- Learning to use the reading wheel at reading time.

- Getting better at swimming.

We are also very proud of our art work.

All about Me!!

We used crayon to draw some pictures about ourselves, then got to choose our favourite colour to dye over the top. We learnt that we had to do quite big pictures and press quite hard as the first time we tried this our drawings didn't show up behind the dye. Mrs Taylor took our photos side on as we had to have our mouths open like we were talking. What is coming out of our mouths is a little bit about us.

Self Portraits

These are our self-portrait sketches. We listened to Mrs Taylor carefully on how to draw faces and followed step-by-step. We think we did an amazing job. What do you think?
