We have been learning to spell these words: make, lake, bake, take, rake, wake, snake, cake, lake, milkshake, pancake, cupcake, awake, shake, earthquake, mistake.
To practice our spelling words we drew something which has the ake word chunk, and wrote our words inside.

I love your 'ake' pictures Room 3. I heard lots of 'ake' words being used at home too. Cake, snake, make, fake and lake. Am I missing any?
ReplyDeleteMr Excell you are missing: pancake, milkshake, mistake, quake, earthquake, cupcake, bake. This week our spelling pattern is ack, like All Black or fullback. How many ack words do you know. We know 26 words with the ack spelling pattern.
